Ten Friends

In math this week, we worked on ways to make ten.  The students had to find multiple ways to make ten.

I hope that everyone enjoys the long break!  Make sure to practice letter names and sounds.

In math today we worked on ordering numbers and counting out the correct number of objects.  The students loved collecting different objects to show numbers 0-10.

We also spent some time preparing for our Veteran's Day program.  We colored our flags red, white, and blue.
I look forward to meeting everyone for parent teacher conference!

Pumpkin Math!

On Thursday, we used a pumpkin in our math lesson.  We measured the height of the pumpkin, and counted the seeds.  Our pumpkin had 181 seeds!  Then we counted out the correct number of pumpkin seeds to glue onto our paper.  We enjoyed getting our hands messy.

This coming week we are going to be focusing on the letters Ee and Hh.  Please review Cc, Oo, Gg, Aa, Dd, Ss, Ll, Ii, Tt, and Ff at home.
